Weekend Brunch At Mister Sunday
Wouldn’t it be fitting to have brunch at Mister Sunday on a Sunday? Well, you should be pleased to say crowds came in on Saturdays too. I met my brother to have brunch in the South of Jakarta, Senopati area. Mister Sunday is across the newly opened cafe by Beau. Since natural light is everyone’s best friend, we sat by the window which gave off the best lighting for food pictures.
Unfortunately, I was extremely upset with the dish that I ordered. Its been awhile since I have abhorred on a dish in a restaurant and at Mister Sunday, it happened.
Let’s be honest here, I was really disappointed with the Eggs Benedict because what was served was excruciatingly sour! I even gave feedback to the waiter but he just told me off by saying that this dish was meant to be sour. I get that.., but this was exceedingly sour that it was
almost in fact inedible. I do think that maybe I was one of the unlucky ones and they had accidentally put on too much vinegar on mine. It tasted over the top acidic and I was utterly put off by it. I wasn’t a fan and this was by far the most disappointing Eggs Benedict dish I have ever eaten in my life.
My brother picked out the French Toast and it was nothing out of the ordinary. The bacon slices were minimal. There was some great sensation to the sweet and salty nodes and at least it was rather enjoyable as compared to my Eggs Benedict dish.
Without a doubt this place is an instagenic cafe that many love to visit. They have a back door near the staircase, which opens to a narrow alleyway where many people enjoy taking #ootd photos there. In some ways I kind of enjoyed my time here at Mister Sunday aside of the food that I was having. Unfortunately, I don’t see myself coming back here nor would I recommend this place to anyone else, unless you are just here for coffee.
