Japanese/ French cheese cakes and tarts seemed to be all about the rave recently ain’t I right? EiŌ is a new one that just popped up. The last ones I’ve tried were from Dore in Plaza Indonesia which I got for my dad’s Birthday, and Ezo Cheesecake which I believe is a direct competitor to this one given that they’re located not far away from each other.
The place is beautiful and its focus is on marbles. The second floor of this place is a restaurant called Saine Daise, and it has similar vibe and designer aesthetics. EiŌ is mainly, focused on selling just desserts. Scroll to see what we sampled.
Taste wise I think they are great for those who like lighter or airier cheesecakes, whereas I felt that Dore and Ezo Cheesecake do have denser texture and cheese flavour. Its hard to pick one of which is better than the other because opinions are subjective. But if I do have to pick, I’d say Ezo Cheesecake and Dore are far better options. Just because if I want to go dirty with the calories, I want more flavour of course! My sister on the other hand prefers the subtlety that EiŌ’s cakes offer.
On a hindsight, the place has such charm which is so lovable. The attractive packaging also makes me want to buy something just so I could keep the box. I think for those looking for gifts, little treats from EiŌ might just be the answer. Do give this place a visit, and perhaps have lunch upstairs at Saine Daise whilst you do.
