Hokkaido Cheesecake Bakery @ Ezo Cheesecake

EveLovelle was invited to dine as guest at Ezo Cheesecake

Ezo Cheesecake just launched its variety of cheeses over the last month. The Japanese style bakery evokes a French vibe, sort of similar to the ever so famous French patisserie Ladurée. The new trend that has captured the South East Asian market was a Japanese invention of the Hokkaido Cheese Baby and if you want a taste of that, you can always come to Ezo Cheesecake that is located at Ruko Elang Laut at Pantai Indah Kapuk. Ezo Cheesecake also sells cheesecakes of course, currently in three different flavours; Original; Matcha and Chocolate. The owner told us that a Japanese chef flew to Jakarta to teach the local chefs here the secret recipes. Almost if not everything in store has cheese in it, hmm, yummy!

Like the much raved Hokkaido cheese tart called the Hokkaido Cheese Baby, this one is fairly similar in shape and texture. Taste wise Ezo Cheesecake has plenty of options. Each tart is a steal that costs you only 12 000RP a piece.

We paired what we had with a side of tea. There are lots of Twinnings tea options or you can go for a selection of coffee instead.

Original Hokkaido Cheesecake, Slice 35 000RP/ Whole 248 000RP

The Original Cheesecake has a dense texture, half of it is cheese and the other a moist cake consistency. The cheese flavour felt fresh and refreshing for a dessert. It wasn’t too sweet but the sweetness was of the right amount. Its non-cloying flavour was what got me wanting more after every bite.

Original Cheese Bomb + Matcha Cheese Bomb

The Cheese Bomb gives off that melt-in-your-mouth effect. Its not too watery but the burst can be compared to a silky custard texture. The Original fairs way better than the Matcha though the Green Tea flavour was expected to blow your mind.

Matcha Hokkaido Cheesecake, Slice 35 000RP/ Whole 248 000RP

I absolutely love the Matcha cake and even brought a whole cake home. The cake is great for Birthday events, or just simply chug it for yourself. This is also the perfect cake to get for those who aren’t so much of a sweet-toothed, because its cheesy and only slightly sweet. Even those in my family who don’t usually eat desserts love this cake too. I’d say this particular cake is a winner.

Nutella Cheese Bomb + Blueberry Cheese Bomb + Oreo Cheesebomb

The Nutella Cheese Bomb tasted so much like a chocolate Martabak I kid you not. The Blueberry is a refreshing change of flavour and we really loved it. The Oreo on the other hand had a nice surprise with Oreo chunks within nicely baked. Aside of the matcha which was a subpar as compared to all the others, the rest I thought were all equally spectacular.

The bakery section proved to be a hot selling section and many who live around the area come here often to get their next-day breakfast secured. Breads are baked fresh daily and whatever is unsold won’t be on the shelves the very next day. Rest assured that you get the best quality of breads here.

I foresee myself coming back to this place to get a selection of bread the next time round. I am eyeing on the Ovomaltine Brioche, Blueberry Cream Cheese, and Nutella Rocher. I mean, how good does that sound?!
