Ruci’s Joint – Modern Food Hall [Artisanal Coffee + Indonesian Food + Smoothie Bowls etc.]
Have you heard of Ruci’s Joint? Its a new contemporary food hall joint down the block. Its not just any other restaurant, but it also has an art space on its second floor. The food hall features various types of F&B tenants that sells smoothie bowls, coffees, Indonesian food, salads, etc. Its the perfect place to hang out and get a variety of different things. For us, we went for the smoothie bowls, and took a cup of coffee to go.
Acai Bowl has always been one of my weakness, more than any other smoothie bowls out there. It is a superfood that has bounteous benefits like promoting skin luminosity; has anti-aging properties due to its high antioxidant contents; helps digestion; immune booster and helps you be more focused on your mental functions. There are more granola crunch underneath the blended acai, so every bite was cold, smooth and crunchy all at once. It is delicious and I would come back here just for my healthy bowl fix.
The food hall joint is spacious featuring modern art installations on walls. The design is clean and simple, but packs a punch to the eye no matter how much of an art amateur most of us are.
The coffee is pretty bitter but just what I needed. The coffee cup design is quite tribal and pretty too!
After hanging out at the communal areas, we went up to the second floor to look at the art space. The highlight of what most visitors are interested about at Ruci’s Art Space is entering this room full of drawings, drawn by random visitors so even you and I could take a paint brush and add more colours to the mess.
Bewildered by a scenery change is always inspiring, especially when you least expect it.
