A new Japanese restaurant just opened in town and their specialty is Gyu Don. The place have always been crowded day and night because Indonesians love to be the first to try out new restaurants. We sampled the gyu don, salmon Chirashi and assorted tempura.
Tempura Mori, 75 000RP
The selection of tempura includes shrimps and assorted vegetables were cooked just perfect. The crunch factor was admissible to our standards at the very least.
Salmon Chirashi, 78 000RP
Fresh salmon pieces and the only thing we could wish for was to have more salmon slices.
Special Gyu Don With Onsen Egg And Garlic Chips 88 000RP + Uni, 70 000RP
The Gyu Don was hands down the star of the show tonight. The exterior was seared and caramelized ever so flawlessly while keeping the meat still beaming red. The garlic chips added succulency and sweetness, it was absolutely delicious. The onsen egg with the gyu don combined was a phenomenal combination. Treat yourself further with additional uni or foie gras on your gyu don bowl.
Service on the other hand was a downfall as staffs were rude and inattentive. That aside, I think Sushi Sen is worth another revisit and I would come back just to have that bowl of gyu don.
