Can you spot the Eiffel Tower resemblance on the table, or perhaps realised that the word ‘authentique’ was used for its name? Sophie’s Authentique is a French inspired cafe that focuses on serving light refreshments of cakes and pastries, with a side of coffee or tea. Are you more of a ‘Coffee and Croissant’ or ‘tea and tarts’ kind of person? For me I am the former, but the latter is rather hard to resist too..! Sophie’s Authentique has several outlets in town and it is popular among girls who just want to hang and have a good time with their girlfriends.
And yes, there is even a garden swing where kids love to be pushed around with. I must admit it was a distraction when kids are on it, and I like it still and empty.
They have a bakery case full of pastry and cake choices. The canele cake is one of the most sought after cakes, as it taste would typically be basic and subtle in flavour, but guaranteed great according to one of the waitress. I am sure to try that one out when I come back next time.
My latte was served out of a single grouped Nespresso Inissia and Nespresso’s Milk frother. I won’t say that Sophie’s Authentique’s quality is over the top great, but it was decent. Overall I wouldn’t mind coming back here to chill and grab a bite from time to time. Just take note that the cafe is quite tiny and parking outside can be a problem.
