Coffee Smith is both dark in roast and the vibe of its premises. I arrived on a cloudy day so the place could not receive as much sunlight as it should making it seem a moody inside. There were artificial dimly lit lights within the cafe but only the smoking areas are exposed to direct sunlight.
I thought I might had the whole place to myself on a quiet weekday but there were a few batches of people who come in after I ordered my cup.
I had to increase my white balance to get this photo taken because it is difficult to take a photo in dark places. Coffee Smith has really great coffees and they supply coffees to many cafes in Jakarta. Personally I think the place is quite a miss for a comfortable coffee session with the buds but their focus is mainly on wholesale rather than walk-in customers.
I like their coffee beans and would personally purchase them for home use, but I wont recommend to hang and sit in because I like bright lights and having dimly lit lights can make me a little moody. If you on the other hand enjoys this kind of grunginess, this place might be perfect for you.
