Kitchenette is a restaurant owned by the Ismaya Group, a mastery when it comes to innovation in the F&B industry. Kitchenette has several outlets and they are all located in good quality malls. We went to the outlet at Central Park Mall, and the Kitchenette here has its own stand alone store just outside of the mall building but still within the mall grounds. The stand alone store is divided into two sections, one for Kitchenette, and another for Pizza E Birra (also part of Ismaya Group).
The interior is very kitchen-like, inspired by its name. I suppose the idea is to eat good food at the comfort of a home, as the vibe is casual, but maintains a level of sophistication. It is a great space for families, friends or your colleagues to hang out at.
Spam Fries was available in two flavours, the turkey or pork. We wanted the pork option but sadly it was sold out for the night so we went for the turkey. This is a great starter to please the crowd because it is unique but also oh-so-delicious.
Fried Chicken & Waffle, 89 000RP
We went the all American way as my partner in crime and I both sinned on the Fried Chicken & Waffles. It was a stacko of brilliance, with maple sauce slathered on its base and a spoonful of chilli butter on its crown. The chicken was crispy and I loved the spices incorporated as the batter. We could use a little more maple sauce because for that amount it was only sufficient for one waffle, but other than that, this is a great option to tug in your hungry heartstrings.
I will soon try Pizza E Birra as I heard they have great pizzas, a place worth going to. As for tonight, happy sweet chicken and waffle dreams.
