Aside of Starbucks, D’Journal is my favourite coffee house at Grand Indonesia Mall. We adore the use of different structures and coloured timbers that formulates the overall design. Decorative coffee sacks and coffee filters are really fitting ornaments that makes the place, THE place. The vibrancy of the premises, array of coffee flavour options and casual, easy food selection are reasons for its successful brimming of customers.
Nutella Croissant, 33 000RP + Long Black 22 000RP
My first time here I chose a corner table and took a read at their newspaper. D’Journal provides coffee classes starting from 350 000RP. From basic coffee knowledge classes, roasting classes, cupping classes, all the way to personifying your artistic side by learning how to do a latte art, all are available to groom you to become an expert.
Spinach Omelette, 45 000RP
The next time round when I came for breakfast I ordered the fluffiest Spinach Omelette, with a side of tomatoes and toast soldiers. It was simple but unquestionably delicious.
Gilroy Garlic Fries, 30 000RP + Red Velvet Latte, 43 000RP
After breakfast I was itching to snack on something or get coffee instead. In the end, I couldn’t decide so I had both. The garlic fries was a little less garlicky as expected. What they meant by garlic fries was that it wasn’t cooked with garlic, just sprinkled with garlic crumbs on top. I felt a little cheated to be honest. The Red Velvet Latte on the other hand was a sinful pleasure and it tasted like milky red velvet heaven.
D’Journal is part of the Ismaya Group, a brilliant leader who helps restaurants conceptualize their dreams into reality. With such a leader leading the operations and the foundations of D’Journal, you can guarantee that quality would not be compromised.
