Ms Choo has a flair for sophistication and romance. It serves modern Thai food aimed to impress the empress so to speak, because we were wowed with the food quality level, ambiance, and catchy indie remix being played.
Crispy Soft Shell Crab With Deep Fried Baos, 48 000RP
We couldn’t resist deep fried buns because they are great eaten with all things else or by itself. The soft shell crab was absolutely crisp, fresh and not plasticky. The sauce could be done a little better because I ever had better ones, and I find myself always comparing crab sauces with the Singaporean style of making – that my friends, is above ground and all others ain’t on par.
Crispy Twiced Cooked Pork Belly With Caramel Tamarind Glaze And Nam Prik Pla, 95 000RP
The pork belly was sweet, sticky and simply marvelous. The caramel tamarind glaze caused great wonder and this dish is not to be missed.
Stir Fried Flat Rice Noodle With Beef Chili Paste And Chinese Broccoli, 55 000RP
The pad thai tasted more like fried kway tiao, but still lovely with all the right balance. It was not spicy at all. It was big chilli they used, not the killer padi.
Massaman Curry With Seared Beef Peanuts, Baby Potatoes And Crispy Shallots, 80 000RP
We adored fragrant and flavorful curry that was on point. The baby potatoes were served soft and that made it easy to bite. If there is something to be improved, I thought the beef was perhaps braised for too long causing it to be a little stiff and too well done.
I find Ms Choo impressive to be able to fulfill all the principles needed to consider it a restaurant that is worthy of visiting and coming back again and again for.
Ms Choo, we’re sold.
