The Melbourne Supper Club

Tiramisu, 11.50AUD

My friend Rachel recommended that we should visit The Melbourne Supper Club for desserts. We went straight here after dinner in the city to discover an upmarket bar with classic chesterfields all around. No drinks and just desserts in a bar? Yeap, not weird at all. We picked two desserts to share and I had to order my favourite classic dessert, that is, the Tiramisu! I loved the coffee packed flavour sponged fingers, which clearly managed to have absorbed all that coffee. We were also satisfied with the huge three sticks of dark chocolate cigars, I mean, that’s plenty.

Sticky Date Pudding, 15AUD

It may not look it but the size of that Sticky Date Pudding was pretty ginormous. Both the pudding and salted caramel sauce was served really warm and it still had smoke coming out of it despite spending some time taking turns to snap photos, as well as do a snapchat video with it. The secret to having a good sweet sauce is to balance it with something salty, like a pinch of salt. We loved it so much because the sauce was not overly sweet, hence everyone could take as many spoonfuls and not be sick of it. We scrapped the whole plate to the last drop of that salted caramel sauce. Having sticky date pudding during wintertime is a timely idea, we felt like we were celebrating Christmas in July.

Come by to The Melbourne Supper Club for a laid back night in the city. So cozy and so much fun we didn’t want to leave!
