Grossi Florentino Cellar Bar

Complimentary Bread

My friends and I were craving for a good pasta in the city, and Grossi Florentino Cellar Bar came up as the first few options for good Italian on Zomato. Grossi Florentino comprises of two different restaurants located side by side. Grossi Florentino Grill is a fine dining restaurant while the one we went to, Grossi Florentino Cellar Bar, had a more casual vibe. Both restaurants have a different menu and completely different restaurant interior.

Spaghetti Vongole, 20AUD
I wanted a light seafood pasta and an aglio olio was perfect. I loved that the pasta was cooked al dente, and that the portion was just right. The herbs with little chilli gave the pasta and clams a nice punch of flavour.
Pesce, 28AUD
The waiter recommended the Pesce and it came out beautiful. The fish was lightly seared in an attempt to maintain the meat’s natural juice and keep it moist.
Fettuccine Carbonara, Pancetta, Egg, 20AUD
For something savoury and heavy, we tackled the classic Carbonara cooked in my favourite cured bacon. The sauce was obviously made from scratch, nothing comes out from a can. The overall richness in the cheese and cream really stood out, while the pasta soaked in that mixture perfectly.
Dinner was simply excellent, easy, fast, and no fuss.
