Went to service the car this beautiful morning, and in the mean time we got a loan car to wonder the neighbourhood. We stumbled upon this cafe called Foxtrot, which looked ravishing from the outside. It was enchanting because the sun shone brightly this winter morning and I especially loved the fresh flowers hung up on the wall.
Inside was a cozy little space and I got lucky to capture this part of the cafe right after some guys left their table. I adored the polka dot walls and how it is only dotted on one side of the wall.
Housemade Cornbread, 14.50AUD
We got the Housemade Cornbread which bursted out so much Mexican flavours in one single plate. Typically you assume sourdoughs or brioches would pop up on breakfast plates for carbs, but this cornbread was an exciting change. The bread stacks ample amount of mashed avocados, tomato salsa and grilled bacon streets. Its not really a Mexican affair without sour cream and it was of course the perfect side sauce to balance the dish.
Foxtrot is a gem. It is not widely spoken about because of its location and we never expected that such a place would exist in this area. This cafe is perfect if you are in need to pull out a laptop for work, but only if you live close by. Its just a pity they don’t open on the weekends!
