Chicken Curry Laksa, 12.90AUD
Laksa is easier to find, but its really not that easy to scout for great curry laksa. Recently Jan and I stumbled upon a great Laksa Bar along Chapel Street. They serve other Malaysian/ Singaporean dishes like char kway tiao and chicken rice, but this place is called Laksa Bar for a reason. I believe the very last time I tried laksa was at Laksa King, that was good, but it was the red base milky laksa that I tried. The Chicken Curry Laksa was filled with lots of side ingredients apart from the noodles and broth, which made it great and worth my money. The broth was milky with lots of coconut milk that made up the strong curry taste.

Soft Shell Crab Curry Laksa (Large), 16.90AUD

Laksa Bar’s specialty is its Soft Shell Crab Curry Laksa and one and a half was presented on a bowl and the whole cut in half. Same as the Chicken Curry Laksa, it was served with fish cakes, tofu, egg, dumpling skin crackers, and some others that I couldn’t even remember. The noodles served were the yellow egg noodles, and thin rice vermicelli or more commonly known as the white bee hoon. For an affordable meal like this, you’ll spot me back here with a couple of friends enjoying a good bowl of laksa quite often. Not just words from me but I heard that you shouldn’t order the others, just laksa because we know its good. Period.
