I gotta be honest guys.. I’m not the healthiest person you would know. I wanted to go for bagels for brunch but Rach dragged the girls and I to Green Press. Green Press is a new start-up cafe that’s totally vegan, gluten free friendly and mostly organic. The restaurant was located in a situated corner that’s difficult to spot. When you see Henry Fox’s restaurant, walk inwards and you’ll be able to spot Green Press.
Acai Bowl (Spinach, Berries, Dates, Almond Milk, Goji), 10AUD + Acai Bowl (Peanut Butter, Chocolate Vegan Protein, Almond Milk), 10AUD + Smoothie (Spinach, Berries, Vanilla, Vegan Protein, Coconut Water), 8AUD
I was secretly excited to see that they offer variations of Acai Bowls on the menu because I’ve heard so many wonderful comments on that. All of us fell in love with all of our Acai Bowls. We picked two types from the three variations that were available. It was creamy, cold, tasteful like nirvana kingdom. I can’t even explain it in words, its too difficult to even comprehend the wonderful tasty feeling. Its definitely comparable to gelatos and all the yummy yogurts out there, except this one is way healthier and contains lesser calories.
Bringing the juices out while shopping. This meal kept me full for 6-8 hours during the day and curbs my appetite throughout. Better sure a whole pizza box wouldn’t be able to satisfy me for long and I’d be craving for more every single slice I take. An unhealthy habit of mine is not knowing when to be full. With the Acai Bowl however, it does wonders, makes me feel more energetic and not sluggish from too much carb sugars.
We also got free samples from their juices selection. They have a unique and wonderful taste to it. Whatever the mixture, it was magnifique. I would come back to try out their salads soon. Really, Green Press, highly recommend.
