For Jan’s 22nd official birthday dinner night, I brought him to The Rise. The Rise is an international buffet restaurant at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore. It has grown in popularity the minute it set foot in close proximity to the many luxury fashion boutiques and the casino.
I spent 68SGD++ per pax for tonight. I didn’t really thought it was too worth it. 48SGD++ would then be reasonable if I may. Scroll down to find out why.
Portuguese Macau Egg tarts!!! Holy moly?!
Birthday boy who just love eating
Below are a list of the more significant (better looking photos) food chunks that we piled on.
I can tell you right off the bat that the salmon sashimi very fresh
Don’t bother taking the seafood with shells. They aren’t fresh at all and we were
quite VERY disappointed. Uh oh, why do the expensive stuffs taste so bad? Poor shell-nimals didn’t get to serve its true destiny in life. I’m terribly mortified.
I would say that among the sections of choices including the Breads, Cold Appetisers, Seafoods, Indian, Western, Chinese, desserts and so on… the Western and Desserts section has got to be my favourite. I mean… talk about good lamb shank, baby back pork ribs, steamed veal, honey baked ham, baked salmon in cream sauce, Asian paella and potato gratin. I truly savour every single bite of my plate above.
The carrot cake is moist and creamy, just the way I like it!
Not the best dinner experience overall at The Rise. There are certain appealing dishes that was able to satisfy my taste buds fully. However, a good buffet restaurant would be one where the seafoods are fresh. Do you agree?
