Mouth Restaurant 地茂馆 is currently on my top list for salted egg yolk custard buns. Why? because it has a crispy outer layer. Recall Tim Ho Wan’s famous char siew buns which has similar outer crispy skin.
Signature Baked Cream Of Salted Egg Yolk Bun, 5.40SGD
The size of Mouth Restaurant 地茂馆’s Signature Baked Cream Of Salted Egg Yolk Bun is probably double the size of what a normal custard buns are supposedly like. You know what that means? More cream custards within!!! The custard cream isn’t gooey thick, but it has a greasy texture that is… to die for. Undeniably by far my favourite custard bun in the world.
Mouth’s Steamed Prawn Har Gao In 6 Flavour With X.O Sauce, 9.80SGD
Other than their signature custard buns, Mouth Restaurant 地茂馆 also have its own signature Har Gao in six colours/flavours. Again, similar to Paradise Dynasty 樂天皇朝’s signature colourful xiao long bao isn’t it? Unfortunately, I couldn’t distinctly taste all the flavours of each har gaos. The flavours are mild and unmemorable.

Average kind of yummy and I still enjoyed it.
Tako Cheese Croquette, 4.80SGD
I love Chinese food made Western. Most of the time they turn out to be really good. It’s pretty easy, just put cheese on to anything and it’ll be yummy.
Steamed Glutinous Rice In Lotus Leaf Wrap, 4.50SGD
Mouth Restaurant 地茂馆’s version of Steamed Glutinous Rice In Lotus Leaf Wrap is a delight. It isn’t dry and its flagrantly appetising too.
I don’t blame them for making their own rendition of custard buns and har gao. In fact, I applaud on how good their custard buns turn out to be. I’m sure it requires countless experimentation and great amounts of love for cooking to perfect the crispy cream baked custard bun recipe. I am truly satisfied. Would definitely be back to Mouth Restaurant 地茂馆 for the same purpose.
