Just to clarify, I have previously eaten lunch at Equinox before. Click here to read on that one.

This time I went to Equinox with my boo, Rachel. Spoiling ourselves with the high-tea food selection, we’re more interested with the cakes and other sweet pastries Equinox has to offer.

I’m very much assured we’ll have plenty more of high tea sessions together in the future. Not even a question, I’m very positive!

We started off with sushi, sandwiches, croissant, salads, egg tarts and some Western-Italian random bits all to share. Rachel can’t get enough of the mango sushi which I agreed to be awesome. The salad that she picked out was amazing because they have the most delicious sun-dried tomatoes and cherry tomatoes altogether. That aside, I enjoyed my croissant and sandwiches too!

Next up I had a slice of prata with curry while Rachel went for more sushis. We picked some chinese siew mai, a char siew bun and gyozas. Not too much to rave about, the Chinese selection was just average.

We were looking forward to try out the desserts most but was disappointed with the selection that they have. I remembered the last time I had lunch here they offered far way more variety and more delicious options. Since it was high tea, I expected more cakes. Oh boy I was wrong. My favourite was the mini doughnuts, dark chocolate mousse brownie, and the lemon tart with meringue on top.

I had the creamy chocolate chip and tiramisu ice cream while Rachel chose exotic sorbets.

As gorgeous as it can be, we were greeted with the Singapore skyline when looking out of the pane.

All in all I was expecting more array of desserts and less of the carb heavy food like laksa, spaghetti, rice etc. I mean… what’s high tea when you have all that added into it? There were more desserts when I went the last time round. Oh Equinox… whatever happened???
