The Sushi Bar
Queued up for half an hour with my babes before getting seats at The Sushi Bar. What I do know is how packed the restaurant would be during peak hours. However, its all so worth it, I had an incredibly fulfilling dinner.
Soft Shell Crab Salmon Aburi Sushi Roll, 16.90SGD
I don’t usually fancy soft shell crab but this one is winner. The thought of eating shells is just so…. repugnant for my delusional self. I’ve tried soft shell crabs before and I dislike to bite and feel the crisp of shells. The Soft Shell Crab at The Sushi Bar however, isn’t anything like that. I’m glad I tried it because the combination of Japanese rice with really SOFT and ain’t crisp soft shell crab blends so well with Salmon and mentai.
Come on.. you already know how a chawanmushi tastes like. This one tho has fish egg roes on them.
Scallop Mentaiyaki, 13.90SGD
Thin sliced cut scallops with mentai sauce could taste so good. Yup, its scallop sashimi! Don’t miss out on this one if you’re ever at The Sushi Bar. So unique and yummy.
Salmon & Ikura Don, 18.90SGD
Scrap off that wasabi will ya?!
The quality of the salmon is top geared. Its thickly cut and well coated. I couldn’t be more satisfied.
Sirloin Steak (100gm/200gm), 14.90SGD/28.90SGD
We ordered a 100grams worth of Sirloin. Please dip them steak pieces with the peanut sauce. Best combination ever.
I couldn’t criticize on any amount for the food quality because they were that good. If there’s one thing I would say is that the service could be improved. Since we sat at the corner in a crowded small space area, we felt unattended at some instances and that bothers me.
Nevertheless, The Sushi Bar is a great option to be at for a casual lunch or dinner with friends. Just not family dinner or a dinner date kind of place.
