‘The Beatles’ and ‘London’ was what came to mind when we crosspath Abbey Road cafe. Abbey Road in London is famously known for the Abbey Road Studios. Many of the most well known singers or bands have performed and recorded their music there. I guess this is where Abbey Road cafe got their inspiration from.
After my iced coffee and Jan’s cup of cider, we’re not as hungry so we decided to order and share a huge Back Ribs platter and a plate of calamari as a starter.
Salt And Pepper Calamari And Taramosalata, 15AUD
The food served here is albeit on the pricier side. For only this amount of calamari at 15AUD, are you kidding me? But oh well.. at least they taste really good. Not deep fried but just enough to get some sweet crunch and juicy meat.
Baby Back Pork Spare Ribs, 35AUD
The Baby Back Pork ribs was… YUM. I’ve definitely tasted better ones when I was in Singapore at my absolute favourite restaurant called Tony Romas. Abbey Road’s Baby Back Pork Spare Ribs was still cooked in perfection and the BBQ sauce was stellar. The potato wedges, coleslaw and onion rings were legit too! Not to forget, the sour cream given almost tasted like mascarpone and for that I am sold.
My favourite part of the setting is how they post posters of legends including ‘The Beatles’ of course, ‘Elvis Presley’, ‘Rolling Stones’, ‘Bob Marley’ and even ‘Rihana’ and ‘Pink’ etc. All of these talented celebrities have ever performed at Abbey Road Studios and at that point of time became life changing for their career. Having the right type of setting for the types of food you’re serving is extremely crucial in the hopes of delivering a memorable experience for customers.
The service could definitely improve but overall I’m pleased with Abbey Road cafe. Oh take me to London to visit that prominent place~
