Little Ramen Bar

Classic Tonkotsu Ramen とんこつラーメン
Classic Tonkotsu Ramen, 9.90AUD + Ajitama, 1.50AUD
Little Ramen Bar cooks one of the best ramen bowls in Melbourne. Comparing to other ramen places overseas, Little Ramen Bar isn’t on par with the rest. They make decent ramen, but its still just not good enough! I have too high of an expectation for a real good and authentic ramen.
I always drifted towards the Tonkotsu Ramen when eating at ramen restaurants. Especially when they claimed that their Tonkotsu Ramen broth was slowly cooked for more than 10 hours, I simply have to try! The complementary ingredients with my ramen are BBQ pork, bamboo shoots, spring onions, and seaweed. Without fail, I always add an additional Japanese Ajitama every single time I order my ramen. I must! I’m highly disappointed with the noodles because its not as authentic as it should be. The soup tasted really good though! This time round I chose the miso soup base instead of shoyu or shio.
Housemade Gyoza Dumplings, 5.50AUD
Little Ramen Bar’s Housemade Gyoza Dumplings taste similar to Chinese dumplings as supposed to the uber crispy Japanese Gyoza. Overall I do think it was yummy. Still… it was just not what I was expecting for.
If I have cravings for Ramen, I would come back to Little Ramen Bar because they are simply one of the most decent Ramen restaurants there is in Melbourne that I know of.
