Standing Sushi Bar

The Prawn King

Standing Sushi Bar is always crowded especially on Mondays and
Thursdays. You’ll begin to see queues before they even start opening at 6pm for
dinner time. You know why? Sashimi is only 3SGD for a plate of five during
these two days. What a steal, its the real deal.
Prawn King is made out of deep fried prawn with sliced avocado
and tobiko. The prawn meat is so compressed it felt almost like tonkatsu meat
instead. I love tonkatsu so much, I’m not complaining.

realised rolls have such unique names no matter which Japanese restaurants I go
to. This one is called ‘Under The Sea’ roll. Within it there are
scallops, crabsticks, avocados and cucumbers, topped with the yummy and
slightly burnt dressing. Yum!
As I have mentioned, do visit the Standing Sushi Bar especially
on Mondays or Thursdays as Sashimis will be dirt cheap. They also have other
promotions such as 2SGD for sake and 5SGD for beer, wine and umeshu on mondays
and Thursdays.
On top of these, the Standing Sushi Bar sells sushis, sashimis
and alcohols at 50% off on Tuesdays. On Wednesdays, its 50% off rolls,
handrolls and alcohols.
The best part? Their sashimis are really fresh. Jan and I ordered five plates
of sashimis along with two rolls, and ended up ordering more plates of sashimis
right after that. What a great meal we had that day.
