Melt – The World Café

The land of lust and greed happiness and contentment. I have
been wanting to visit Melt The World Café for quite some time
now. Jan’s 21st birthday was just around the corner, and so I thought.. Hey,
might as well treat the boy good food and satisfy my euphoric needs at the same
FYI, Melt
The World Café
is rated as one of the top 5 international buffet
places in Singapore. It’s also the seventh heaven for the sweet tooth. I’m not
a huge fan of international buffet places and prefer a more specialised buffet
selection (Especially Japanese or Italian buffet restaurants). That aside, I’m
still open to try out any places that serve good food so I decided to
give Melt The World Café a go.
made reservations for two earlier on in the day and told the lady on the phone
that we were celebrating a birthday occasion. Yeap, we received a complimentary
cake by surprise with a lit up candle that night.

And this is… beyond
question, my kind of heaven.

Sometimes I wish I can eat as much to my heart’s content and transfer all the fullness to the children in Africa.

try out the local desserts though. My stomach tend to predominantly scream
mostly towards desserts with higher sugar content. I need help.

seafood section, they have, mussels, oysters, prawns and drunken prawns,
scallops, crabs, lobsters. The best part was how super duper fresh they turn
out to be. So dope!

the anti pasti. Good quality turkey hams, smoked salmon and chicken too!

didn’t take photos of ALL the plates I ate because that would be repetitive.
But here are some to show you guys how darling Melt The World Café is.

Smoked salmon with caviar, potato salad, duck slices, lobster salad and the

was dope), potato salad and lobster salad.

dessert here is so good.. but my absolute favourite are those on the right hand
side of the photo: The cheesecake and the dark chocolate tart.

Buffet Spread 13

had one waffle while I had two. I just have to post all the three pictures of
our waffles. No doubt one of my best waffle experience of my life!!! It has a
gentle crisp but not overly crispy. I’m screaming inside with enthusiasm as I’m
typing these words out.

Buffet Spread 12

this is Jan’s waffle. The one above is with a scoop of tiramisu ice cream and
major spam Nutella spread surrounding it.

last waffle to end off my meal with vanilla ice cream, Nutella and vanilla
sauce by the side.

The view from where we’re seating. We came early so it was empty, but the place became packed with people 10 minutes after I took this photo.

Again, Happy 21st Birthday Jan ♥

Melt The World Café has a top notch service. It’s the little
things they do that makes my dining experience go high up to another level.
Basic things like folding the handkerchief every time we leave our table to go
for another round of food, and filling up water to our glass almost immediately
even when I have only two tiny sips down my throat.

Melt The World Café, I have loved the food experience here and the
service you gave me.

we went on a Sunday night for the dinner buffet and spent 78SGD++ per pax.

buffet restaurant is…. love.

Thanks for the in-depth review. I've booked a table for lunch to celebrate my 13th wedding anniversary. Noticed there is an error with the lunch timing, it should be 12-2.30pm instead of 12-12.30pm(!)
